Destination Wedding in Switzerland:
Alpine Beauty, Swiss Precision, Your Story

Switzerland has always held a special place in my heart. It is where I grew up. Where I learned what precision looks like, what quiet beauty and luxury sounds like and what it means to take real care with the things that matter.
Now, planning weddings between Singapore and Switzerland, I bring that same care to every celebration we design in my home country. Switzerland is not simply a destination on our list. It is a place we know from the inside, from the mountain villages to the lakeside restaurants, from the regional vendors who have been perfecting their craft for decades to the hidden venues that no travel guide has found yet.
And it is a country that, when you give it the right setting and the right team, produces some of the most breathtaking wedding days we have ever had the privilege of being part of.
A Partnership Rooted in Switzerland: Switzerland Tourism and the Swiss Embassy in Singapore
Create Your Story is proud to collaborate closely with Switzerland Tourism, both the Singapore team and the team in Switzerland, as well as with the Swiss Embassy in Singapore. This collaboration reflects something we believe deeply: Switzerland deserves to be known not just as a place to ski or to hike, but as one of the world’s finest destinations for a deeply personal, beautifully crafted wedding celebration.
Together with Switzerland Embassy Singapore, we have been part of events that bring the beauty of Switzerland closer to the Singapore community. The Swiss Weeks Opening Event in Singapore was one such moment: a celebration of Swiss culture, Swiss hospitality and the extraordinary diversity of what Switzerland offers to anyone who chooses it as the backdrop for their most memorable day.
This collaboration is not ceremonial. It means that when we recommend Switzerland as a wedding destination, we do so with the backing of the people who know Switzerland’s hospitality offering best. And when couples from Singapore consider a Swiss wedding, they know they are working with a planner who is genuinely embedded in both worlds.
Our Switzerland Weddings: Real Stories from Real Places
We have planned celebrations across Switzerland’s most beautiful landscapes. Every one has been different. Every one has been unforgettable.
Loredana & Kilian ~ Isole di Brissago, Ticino
The Isole di Brissago are two small islands in the middle of Lago Maggiore in the canton of Ticino: lush, sub-tropical, breathtakingly beautiful. For Loredana and Kilian’s May wedding, the islands became something entirely their own. The Mediterranean light, the botanical gardens, the shimmer of the lake in every direction. A day to remember for every person who was there.
“Our wedding was perfect because we also sneaked away to have a little bit of togetherness!” — Loredana & Kilian
Isole di Brissago, Ticino, Switzerland | 21 May 2016
A Mediterranean island ceremony on Lago Maggiore ~ botanical gardens, Swiss lake light, pure romance.
Joanne & Fabian ~ From Singapore to Switzerland, Three Celebrations
Some love stories need more than one day to tell. Joanne and Fabian celebrated across three countries, three venues and three very different kinds of beauty: a civil ceremony at Zivilstandsamt Männedorf beside the Zurichsee, a Singapore celebration at 1-Atico, and the main Swiss reception at Sagibeiz am Walensee in Murg. The Walensee is one of Switzerland’s most dramatic lakes: steep cliffs, deep blue water, surrounded by the eastern Alps.
Three celebrations. One story. Planned across Singapore and Switzerland with the precision and warmth that both countries do best.
Männedorf / Singapore / Sagibeiz am Walensee, Murg | 2022 (three dates, three countries)
From Singapore to Switzerland: a civil ceremony, a city party and a lake reception in the Alps.
Coming in August 2026: Centre Loewenberg, Murten
In August 2026, we return to Switzerland for a celebration that has been close to our hearts since the first planning conversation. L&M are bringing their closest people to the shores of Murtensee for a bespoke, intimate celebration at one of the most quietly extraordinary venues in the Swiss countryside.
Centre Loewenberg stands above the medieval town of Murten in the canton of Fribourg. A historic Swiss manor house with a Victorian glass dome orangery, formal gardens planted with colour and texture, mature trees framing every view and Lake Murten stretching out beyond. The kind of place that feels discovered, not chosen from a catalogue. And we are designing every detail from the ground up: the decor elements, the tables, the fairylights for the perfect atmosphere, the flow of the day. As always, from the first sketch to the last moment.
Switzerland's Most Beautiful Wedding Regions
Ticino: Mediterranean Switzerland
The Italian-speaking south of Switzerland offers something entirely its own: Mediterranean warmth, Lombardy light and the extraordinary setting of Lago Maggiore and Lago di Lugano. Ticino is Switzerland’s warmest, most lush region. Weddings here carry the feeling of Italy with Swiss precision underneath. Ideal for couples who want lakeside beauty, subtropical gardens and a relaxed European atmosphere.
Zurich and the Zurichsee
Switzerland’s largest city combines cosmopolitan sophistication with lakeside calm. The Zurichsee offers beautiful waterfront venues and easy international access via Zurich Airport, one of Europe’s best-connected hubs. Ideal for couples with large international guest lists or those who want an urban celebration framed by natural beauty.
The Bernese Oberland and the Alps
For couples who want the classic Swiss postcard: snow-capped peaks, mountain railways, wildflower meadows and the kind of scenery that makes guests from anywhere in the world fall completely silent. The Bernese Oberland, including Interlaken, Grindelwald and the Jungfrau region, offers dramatic Alpine ceremony settings with world-class hotel infrastructure.
Fribourg and Murtensee: Hidden Switzerland
The Fribourg region, bilingual and deeply characterful, is one of Switzerland’s least-discovered wedding destinations. The medieval town of Murten on the shores of Murtensee combines historic architecture with gentle lakeside landscapes and a countryside that still feels genuinely unspoiled. For couples who want something personal, beautiful and entirely their own, this region is extraordinary.
The Valais: Vines, Mountains and Local Wine
The Valais is Switzerland’s sunniest region, home to Zermatt and the famous Matterhorn, the thermal baths of Leukerbad and some of Switzerland’s finest wine production. Vineyard weddings in the Valais carry both Alpine grandeur and the warmth of a wine-producing culture. The regional food and wine programme at a Valais wedding is simply outstanding.
Frequently Asked Questions about Wedding Planning & Design
Yes, and this is precisely what we are built for. Daniela is Swiss-born and returns to Switzerland regularly, maintaining active relationships with Swiss venues and vendors. Planning a Swiss celebration from Singapore combines our fluency in both cultures: Swiss precision in execution, Singapore experience in managing international guest logistics and multicultural dynamics.
May through September is peak season, with July and August offering the warmest and most reliably sunny conditions. June and August are our personal favourites: long days, softer light and slightly fewer visitors than the peak summer weeks. And August perfect, as everyone is working normally compared to Italy with its Ferragosto. Alpine venues can be spectacular in winter, particularly February (our driest month of the year) and March, for couples drawn to snow and a fairy-tale setting.
Yes. Our collaboration with Switzerland Tourism Singapore and Switzerland Tourism in Switzerland means we have access to the latest venue knowledge, regional highlights and tourism board introductions across the country. We also maintain a close relationship with the Swiss Embassy in Singapore, which supports Swiss-Singapore connections in the cultural and lifestyle space.
Singapore to Zurich is a direct flight with Swiss International Air Lines, approximately 12 to 13 hours. Most European capitals connect to Zurich or Geneva in under two hours. Switzerland's train network is world-class and makes onward travel from the airport to any venue in the country smooth and reliable. We coordinate all guest travel logistics as part of our destination arrangement.
