In Singapore we don’t do ordinary or cooky-cutter. The skyline is a statement. The hotels are architectural landmarks. The restaurants hold more Michelin stars per capita than almost anywhere on earth. And when it comes to weddings, especially luxury weddings, our city offers a level of venue choice that is spectacular and extraordinary.

As a luxury wedding planner in Singapore, I have had the privilege of working across many of the city’s most iconic settings: the iconic Raffles Hotel, beautiful Chijmes, the Shangri-La, Clifford Pier at Fullerton Bay Hotel, the old Capitol Theatre at Kempinski, outdoors at Gardens by the Bay or on Sentosa Island, W Hotel Sentosa but also famous restaurant with rooftops like Vue, Skai or ION Orchard and beyond. Each one has its own character, its own strengths and its own particular kind of magic.

This is my inside guide, not what you will read on a venue brochure, but what I know from standing inside these spaces with couples and making them extraordinary.

What Makes a Venue Truly Luxury in Singapore?

The word ‘luxury’ gets used loosely. For me, a truly luxury wedding venue in Singapore delivers on four things: beauty of space, quality of service, flexibility for design and the ability to create an experience that feels entirely your own while being super accessible and convenient for your international and traveling guestlist.

A grand ballroom that hands you a standard package is not luxury. Luxury is when a venue’s team works alongside your planner as genuine partners, when every detail, from the table linen to the lighting rig, can be tailored. Singapore’s finest venues offer exactly this and knowing which spaces give you real creative freedom is half the work of a good planner.

Raffles Hotel Singapore

There is no more iconic address in Singapore for a luxury wedding. Raffles Hotel, reopened after a landmark restoration in 2019, is a UNESCO-listed landmark and a living monument to colonial elegance. The Long Bar, the Tiffin Room, the lush palm courtyard, the private event spaces within the hotel’s colonial wings: every corner carries the weight of history and the lightness of superb hospitality.

We have produced events at Raffles ranging from intimate cocktail receptions to multi-room celebrations. What sets Raffles apart is the service culture: a team that understands exactly what it means to host something extraordinary. For couples who want unmistakable prestige and historic beauty, Raffles is in a category of its own.

Clifford Pier at Fullerton Bay Hotel

Clifford Pier is one of Singapore’s most storied addresses. Built in 1933 as the city’s main arrival point, it welcomed generations of immigrants, traders and travellers to these shores. Today it lives inside The Fullerton Bay Hotel as one of the most beautiful event spaces in the city. The setting is remarkable: a soaring arched colonnade, original 1930s architecture and floor-to-ceiling glass overlooking Marina Bay and the glittering Singapore skyline. By day, natural light floods the space. By evening, the reflections of Marina Bay Sands and the city lights on the water create something genuinely cinematic.

For weddings, Clifford Pier offers a setting that is both historically resonant and visually extraordinary. It is intimate enough for a ceremony of 40 and generous enough for a seated dinner of 200 or anything in between as the free space is very versatile. The heritage backdrop means decoration can be suited perfectly to your theme and event vision. The space itself does a lot to the work.

Kempinski The Capitol Singapore

Kempinski Capitol occupies one of Singapore’s most architecturally breathtaking buildings, a 1930s neoclassical landmark on St. Andrew’s Road, steps from the civic heart of the city. The restoration preserved the original facade and grand atrium while delivering contemporary five-star hotel infrastructure within.

For weddings, the Capitol Theatre is the showstopper: an neoclassical space with soaring wall art, architectural beauty and the fascination of old cinematic movie surrounding but with the option to of a flat flooring. It requires almost no decoration to be extraordinary. The venue suits couples who appreciate European grandeur with a uniquely Singaporean story and it photographs beautifully.

CHIJMES

CHIJMES, the former Convent, is one of Singapore’s most beloved heritage wedding venues. Its Gothic chapel and garden courtyard create an atmosphere unlike anything else in the city: a European-feeling sanctuary, almost impossibly romantic, in the heart of the civic district.

The large chapel functioning as a spectacular event venue seats up to 200 guests for a ceremony or/and reception hall. For couples who want ceremony and reception in one location, with architecture that needs no introduction, CHIJMES delivers something genuinely rare: a sense of timelessness in a modern city.

Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa

This is Singapore’s only beachfront hotel. Set on Siloso Beach on Sentosa Island, it offers what no other luxury venue in the city can: a ceremony with the South China Sea as your backdrop. The resort is lush, expansive and designed for unhurried luxury. Its beachfront lawn is one of Singapore’s most spectacular outdoor ceremony settings, framed by tropical palms and facing the open sea. The smaller venue Barnacles by the Sea is ideal for intimate beach-close celebrations.

The Garden Terrace and pool settings offer beautiful alternatives for couples who want outdoor drama in a more sheltered space. For destination couples flying in from abroad, Rasa Sentosa solves the accommodation question beautifully. Guests stay on property, morning to night. The atmosphere feels like a private island resort, without ever leaving Singapore and still that close to all city offerings.

Ritz-Carlton ~ Garden Pavilion

This iconic hotel sits on the Marina Bay waterfront, surrounded by one of the city’s most impressive private art collections and framed by uninterrupted views across the bay. It is a hotel that takes hospitality seriously.

The Garden Pavilion is its crown jewel for weddings. A lush, sheltered outdoor space set within the hotel’s tropical gardens, it offers the rare combination of open-air ceremony beauty, air-con pavilion reception with the fivestar Ritz-Carlton service. The garden is immaculately maintained, quietly dramatic, and designed to feel like a world apart from the city’s pace. Surrounded by cascading greenery and with the Ritz-Carlton’s signature attention to detail at every turn, the Garden Pavilion suits couples who want a garden setting without compromising on luxury, service or food quality. It is equally beautiful at a morning ceremony and a candlelit evening reception.

Gardens by the Bay

For couples who want a wedding backdrop that is simply unlike anything else on earth, Gardens by the Bay offers exactly that. The Supertree Grove, those towering vertical gardens lit after dark against the Singapore skyline, creates a setting of breathtaking, futuristic grandeur. The Cloud Forest and Flower Dome offer extraordinary indoor garden environments for more intimate celebrations.

A Gardens by the Bay wedding requires a planner with genuine operational experience here: the logistics, permitting and production coordination are complex. Not to forget the timeline that needs to have serious attention. But the result: a celebration in one of the world’s most photographed spaces, is incomparable.

Capella or Barracks Hotel, Sentosa

Capella occupies a restored British colonial barrack building on Sentosa, surrounded by tropical gardens and its own private beach access. It combines the intimacy of a boutique resort with the infrastructure of a five-star hotel, making it one of Singapore’s best venues for multi-day destination wedding celebrations.

The colonial Black and White House setting creates a mood of quiet, assured luxury that is difficult to replicate. For couples bringing international guests who want a resort-style stay alongside a beautiful ceremony, Capella or Barracks with their beautiful gardens and lawns are our most recommended Sentosa property.

W Hotel Sentosa brings a more vibrant, contemporary energy to the island. The Presidential Suite serves as a remarkable getting-ready and first-look space.

We recently produced a micro-wedding on the W Sentosa lawn for a Japanese couple and the setting exceeded every expectation.
